Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TextileBid ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our B2B textile bale marketplace (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text), business name, business registration number, country, and account type (buyer or seller).
- Listing & transaction data: bale grade, weight, photos, pricing, bids placed, purchases, messages between buyers and sellers, disputes, and verification/audit records.
- Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, device/browser type, and approximate location, collected automatically to keep the Platform secure and improve it.
- Payment data: where escrow or payment processing is used, payment details are handled by our third-party payment processor — we do not store full card or bank credentials on our own servers.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage your account, and to distinguish buyer and seller accounts.
- To operate auctions, bids, Buy Now purchases, escrow, messaging, and dispute resolution.
- To verify sellers and prevent fraud, self-bidding, and off-platform circumvention of transactions.
- To send transactional notifications (bid updates, payment confirmations, dispute updates) and, where permitted, service updates.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Sharing of information
We share the minimum information necessary between a buyer and seller to complete a transaction (e.g. business name, shipping/contact details after a purchase is confirmed). We may also share information with service providers who help us run the Platform (hosting, authentication, payment/escrow processing) under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data retention
We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can review and update most account information from your Profile page, or contact us to make a request.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted authentication and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Platform or by email.

Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the TextileBid platform. By creating an account you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility & account types
The Platform is for business use. You must create either a buyer account or a seller account — the two are kept separate. A buyer account may browse, bid, and purchase; it may not create listings. A seller account may list and sell bales; it may not bid or purchase. If your business does both, create two accounts using two different email addresses.
2. Browsing vs. account features
Anyone may browse listings on the Platform without an account. Bidding, purchasing, listing, messaging, and other account features require you to sign in or create an account.
3. Auction & bidding obligations
All bids placed on the Platform constitute a legally binding offer to purchase. Winning bidders are contractually obligated to complete payment within 72 hours of auction close.
4. Seller obligations
Sellers certify that listed inventory is accurately described, physically available, and will be released to the buyer upon confirmed payment. Failure to deliver constitutes a breach of contract. Grade descriptions must be accurate; material misrepresentation may result in dispute, refund, suspension, and potential legal action.
5. Self-bidding & anti-circumvention
Bidding on your own listings, directly or through associated accounts, is strictly prohibited. Buyers and sellers may not conduct transactions outside the Platform for any deal originated here. Off-platform solicitation via the messaging system or otherwise will result in suspension.
6. Fees, payments & escrow
Payments for purchases are processed through Platform escrow. Funds are released to the seller only after delivery confirmation or expiry of the dispute window. TextileBid may charge a commission fee on completed transactions, disclosed at the time of listing or purchase.
7. Disputes
Buyers may open a dispute within the applicable window if goods received materially differ from the listing. TextileBid may review evidence and make a binding determination on refunds within the escrow process.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Misrepresenting yourself, your business, or listed goods.
- Attempting to circumvent escrow or platform fees.
- Harassment, fraud, or unlawful activity of any kind.
- Interfering with the security or operation of the Platform.
9. Account suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including for self-bidding, off-platform circumvention, or repeated disputes found in the account holder's favor to be unwarranted.
10. Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, TextileBid is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform or transactions between buyers and sellers.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TextileBid is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Insert specific jurisdiction before launch.]
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
